I am a computer science student at the University of
Copenhagen in Denmark.
I have a bachelor degree in Mathematics and an interest in numbers with
special properties. I currently like writing my own optimized programs to
search for them. My first experience with this was in May 2002 where I
wrote
the program PPNsearch to find so-called picture-perfect numbers of which
only 4 were known. Along with 3 others I tested all numbers below 10^12
and
I was delighted to find 3 numbers and a rule I called Andersen's theorem
to
generate these and millions more. When I finally find a number after a lot
of work and running time I can jump up and down like someone scoring a
goal.
