Christophe Clavier was born in 1967. He is graduated in applied
mathematics and obtained a diploma of engineer in telecommunications (ENST,
Paris). He also obtained his PhD in computer sciences in 2007 with
subject "On the physical security of embedded cryptosystems". Security
expert at the smartcard manufacturer Gemplus (renamed Gemalto in 2006)
from 1997 to 2008, Chirstophe Clavier is professor at University of
Limoges since 2010. His main research areas deal with cryptography and
smartcard security, though he is also very interested by integers in
general, and factorisation and prime numbers in particular.
