The Puzzlers
E-mail: AJP070@motorola.com I received a PhD in Math in 1991 at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign for work in proof theory and computational complexity. In 1998, I left my job in academia to work in industry, much to the delight of my wife and daughter, who enjoyed our new "higher standard of living". I am now a senior engineer doing software and statistical work at Motorola. Last year, I took up math--in particular, number theory--as a hobby, and since then, have been seriously enjoying the subject and relishing the irony of my situation.
